When you think of Lululemon, you probably think of sleek leggings, strappy crop tops, and earth tonedyoga mats. But my foray into the world of the trendy activewear brand actually started with a simple gray sweatshirt.

As someone who was raised by deal-seeking, budget-conscious parents, I'd always refused to spend more than $100 on a pair of leggings or a top just because it was emblazoned with the iconic curvy logo. That all changed, however, when I slipped into my first piece of Lululemon apparel back in 2016. It was a Christmas gift from my then boyfriend's mom—and it was the start of a passionate (and admittedly expensive) addiction to all things Lulu.

What was the miraculous product that made me the kind of person who would spend exactly $118 on a sweatshirt? It's the cult-favoriteLululemon Scuba hoodie, which has thousands of five-star reviews (not to mention over 2,200 posts tagged #scubahoodie on Instagram). It's quickly become my go-to sweatshirt—so much so that I bought more in several colors. Here's exactly why I love the Scuba hoodie so much and why it's worth adding to your own cold weather collection.

What I love about the Lululemon Scuba hoodie

I wear this all day, every day in the fall.

我是一个有很多原因Scuba hoodiesuper fan. Let's start with the material. It's high-quality, warm, and super soft to the touch (the fleece lining feels like you're being wrapped in your favorite throw blanket). However, it's somehow lightweight and breathable at the same time. A.k.a. I don't feel overly hot when I'm wearing it after yoga or on a warmer fall day. It's both cozy and airy, which is exactly what I want in any piece of activewear.

我也喜欢奉承适合潜水的连帽衫. It comes in Lululemon's regular sizing options (from 0 to 14) and for reference, as someone who wears a small in most tops, I wear either the size 2 or the 4 in the sweatshirt. It hits right at the hip—not too long, not too short—and the ribbed side panels give it some shape. It hugs in all the right places while still being relaxed and stretchy enough that you can move freely.

的n there are all the added features—like pockets that are deep enough to safely hold my phone, thumb holes to keep the sleeves securely in place, and even an elastic zipper pull that can be easily removed to use as an emergency hair tie (genius, right?). Plus, despite how fitted the sweatshirt is, the hood is surprisingly roomy.

Even celebs like Jennifer Garner and Vanessa Hudgens are fans.

If you're looking for a lightweight, yet warm zip-up sweatshirt that you can wear all fall and winter long, then yes, I absolutely recommend theScuba hoodie. (I love mine so much, in fact, that I bought two more in different colors.) It's thick enough that you can wear it on its own on a brisk autumn or early spring day, but it's also thin enough that if it'sreallycold outside, you can easily layer it under a heavier jacket.

Another big perk is that it's fitted and flattering, so it feels slightly more put-together than the average shapeless hoodie. Basically, it's perfect for everything from lounging around the house to running errands (and looking comfy, yet cute while you do so!). The only potential downside to the Scuba hoodie is that because it's so fitted, if you're looking for something roomy and oversized, this sweatshirt isn't for you. But otherwise, I give it a 10—or even an 11—out of 10 in every category, even with the high price tag.
